for michael
ivertowski things with electronic music started in an unusual place:
lying in a hospital and recovering from an appendectomy, someone
gave him his first techno cassette to listen to. also unusual or
at least not conveniently is his music style he developed since
this moment. with no effort he masters the combination of old and
new stylistic devices as well as artistic with functional elements.
christian
quast found his way to electronic music in the young age of thirteen
and back then already experimented with music software on commodore
c-64 and later the good old amiga 500. caused by lots of long nights
in hamburgs clubs, especially the 'unit', his affection to technoid
sounds developed more and more and resulted 1991 in first steps
to an own music studio. his style evolved to a mixture of experimental
and modern sounds, whereby the progress of his music always was
one of his major priorities. additionally he succeeds surprisingly
in combining harder sounds with such melodies, so that the result
fascinates a various kind of people - also those among with
more sensitive ears!
christian beeing the more
practical one, and micha, more focussing on the aesthetic and artistic
point of view, crossed path 2002 through the open live act project
'open source'. both looking back on quite a lot of experiences,
having both developed their own individual style with slightly different
characteristics. together they produce a stirring and rousing mixture
of which a first song will be released by delikat records, and they
will probably take off to even greater dimensions of music making
with their new project 'yatsuo motoki'! /cq
