rob keens, a 26 year old techno producer from former east germany has just made his debut netrelease on stadtgruen.

in the late 90s he has been introduced to techno by his friend sebastian kramer, and discovered his passion for electronic music. from then on he got in touch with a subculture that was quite new to him. he became part of the very successful party-series noway 2000 and finally, in 2001, he and some others opened their own club called "concord club" in saxony, an offer for him to get in touch with many international acclaimed artists of whom he got inspired.

untypically rob's artistic career has not been planed by his dj-activity but the other way round. because of his early musical education he is quite into melodic and harmonic elements but though also spirited by abstractness and tribalism, unified in deep driving detroit techno. open for anything, he is not focused on a specific style and producing always means for him the exploration of limits and borders anew. for that reason most of his works are pleasant as well as floating and progressive.
